| While Las Vegas has been experiencing an unprecedented
building boom along the glitzy Strip, major upscale condominium
developments are also transforming the city's landscape. With the city drawing 36million visitors a year, thousands return each month as new residents. Others are buying second homes here, making the city a fertile market for upscale condominiums. Longtime Las Vegas builder Irwin Molasky recognized the potential and has developed Park Towers luxury condominiums, five minutes from the Strip and McCarran International Airport. Prices range from $720,000 to $3.2 million. Molasky has developed a wide array of real estate such as shopping centers and seven golf communities -- among them the famous La Costa Resort in Southern California and the Las Vegas National Golf Club. The $27 million Park Towers development will have two 20-story towers, with occupancy in early 2001. The project will feature 84 residences. Molasky says there is nothing like his project in Los Angeles or New York, with no expense spared in creating a luxury environment, including $1 million on landscaping alone. Desert Inn Hotel owner Steve Wynn is among Molasky's partners in the Park Towers development. |
